On August 27th I finally completed and submitted my husband's FDC. We used Valor 4 Vets for an IMO, and I submitted over 1800 pages of medical records. Michael at Valor was great to work with, and he assured me I had covered all the bases with everything we submitted. I'm not sure my husband even needed the IMO, but once I had all the records, buddy letters, DBTs (3 of them,) and family letters, it all looked overwhelming and disjointed to me. I felt having one letter tying everything together from Bethanie at Valor 4 Vets would help tie everything together since my husband had so many providers giving opinions over a one-year span. Also since the VA had denied his mental illness diagnosis and has refused to test him for PTSD, or allowed him to even TALK about his combat experiences, I thought the IMO wouldn't hurt.

Since his claim has been submitted his status has been "gathering evidence." Three weeks ago there was a request for additional records. However ebenefits didn't specify what they wanted. A week later we got a letter from the VA requesting medical records from all of the doctors we had already submitted all of his records from. 

My husband called the VA (when I wasn't home of course, and his mind isn't the best,) and he spoke with a man who confirmed they had all the records they were requesting. He said he made a note of it and told my husband to fill out releases for the VA to get any other records they need, or click the "request a decision" button on ebenefits. Since we've already given them all the records, we clicked the "request a decision" button.

That was 2 weeks ago and the request for all of his medical records is still on ebenefits, and it says they're past due. His completion date keeps moving back. All of the records show up in his uploaded files.

Is this normal? I'm worried they are going to make a decision using no records! 

Also, ebenefits shows that they requested a C&P exam on October 3. But then nothing. No appointments have been scheduled. I'm guessing that's normal, but it seems like after almost a month there would be something scheduled?

If anyone has experience with this please let me know. If there is something else we need to do to make sure the VA utilizes the 1800 pages I've already uploaded but they keep requesting!

So I have been in the appeal process for around 5 years. All my appointments went as expected, and the docs confirmed i have problems, on each thing I applied for, and they all corresponded to my medical records from the army.  Well on wednesday october 25th my appeal magically disappeared from everything except the nod.  On disabilities it showed the 2 stacks. One was service connected the other was appeal.  Is it good or bad or neutral that it disappeared. I verified that it has not been closed out, but its like pulling teeth to get an answer from them.   Thanks for the help.

For the past two weeks, I haven't been able to view my claim status thru ebenfits. It tells me "open claim not accessible at this time."

Has this happened to anyone before? I called the VA, of course no real answer there... I recently got my local congressional office involved due to my claim taking over a year, close too two years now. Was guessing the response I see on EBenefits is either bc they are working on it, or I've pissed the VA off and they've taken the status off of ebenfits.

My claim has been ping ponging between Preparation for Notification and Pending Decision Approval the last few days. I have tried looking at my benefit summary letter in e benefits but have not seen any change. Does anyone know at what point in the process that letter is updated? I also tried the trick I read about on here to start a new claim and get to the screen with your disabilities and that has not updated/changed either. Just wondering if anyone has seen either of those update before their claim was actually labeled as "complete". Thanks!

What is P 1? E Benefits shows that I am at the P-1 level. My benefit is L 1/2. I cant find P 1 on the chart. Any clarification is greatly appreciated. Thank yu.

Now its back to gathering dust.  I have filed for aid and attandance and at the qtc exam the doctor put in the notes that i can not live independantly.  I have no ideal if this is good or bad thing..

I filed a Claim in Jult 12 to increase my current 30% for HTN, send hard copies in 2012, then in 2013 health got worse, 3 instaces of CHF, hospitalized twice, cardiac ablation. I was bedridden from April-June! And decided to upload my documentation to VA via eBenefits to support my claim. First checked wih IRIS to see if this was feasible, and got email saying yes.

my claim was denied and no mention of my 2013 documentation in my narrative letter.

Has anyone else had a similar experience where you submit some documentation via mail and some via eBenefits?

How often are these sites updated? Also do you get decisions before the sites are updated? Just curious for claims and appeals. Are they updated the same or differently?

I somehow forgot me E-benefits password I tried to reset it via 3 questions after entering my SSN,  and other info. After 3 failed attempts now it says contact a VSO?? 

Has anyone had this problem??

The FOIA for my C-File showed up as Gathering of Evidence under "open claims" until 11/30/17, when it moved to the completed section. Does anyone know approximately how long it'll take for them to finish processing my C-File now that it's "completed" under eBenefits and send it to me? Do they get mailed right away? Or do they get put into another stack where I have to wait another 6 months for it to get mailed? Also, my NOD got denied so I filed a substantive appeal. However, the substantive appeal has been sitting at the originating VA office for the past several months. Does anyone know approximately how long it takes for substantive appeals to be moved from the originating VA office to the board and get a docket number? Thanks!

My claim is scheduled to close tomorrow for my backpay.

Does anyone know if it does close how long till the backpay hits the bank?

Also does information only get updated on our claims whenever the site is down?

E benefits recently changed the password requirements. Now it can't have ANY words in it. I've even tried foreign-language words and those didn't work for me either. It basically has to be One uppercase letter, one lower case letter-then a few numbers and a few special characters. Something like Ka333&&&? would work.

Every few months, Ebenefits wants the user to change their password so this is just a heads up. Certainly wait to change your password until Ebenefits tells you you have to.

claim fnished now, I think i lost because memory loss was added to my depression and anxiety i dont think it said that before on ebenefits but cant remember..lol  my claim finished yesterday does anyone know how long to see it update on ebenefits. thanks

O.K. I have a book of information here sorry.  I am already 100% total from the V.A. for mental health issues.  I submitted a claim to add a serious mental condition to my existing disability.  How long does it take for e benefits to reflect the new change or will the ab8 stay the same considering I am already 100%.  I also submitted for P&T due to my issues being static, and also just getting my review done by SSDI and that being extended due to my condition.  When I got E-benefits under the disabilities tab it shows my new contention that i filed for and also that I am still rated 100% but the date is still the same date that I got when I was approved the first time in 2014.  Also when I check my letters and go to benefit summary it still shows 100% and the box is still checked as not permanent and total.  If the RO follows the rules is it true that your letters won't update until after you or right before you receive your Big Brown Envelope.  I am really confused and unfortunately due to my OCD i have to check ebenefits every couple of hours.

I wanted to file a claim for HBP presumptive to AO, but the process on Ebenefits asks many weird questions such as "Are you applying for TDIU"?   I already have TDIU .  I don't know how to answer that question.  They it popped up with "you don't need to apply for PTSD since you already have it".   According to the VA I am not being treated for PTSD but for depression and anxiety which is SC.  I feel like I am walking through a minefield so I have avoided Ebenefits.  I know how the VA can really screw up a claim and send me to a proctologists for a PTSD exam and cut my rating.   They  once sent my TMJ claim to a psychiatrist and he did not know what to do.

I am 556 days into my NOD. Ebenefits says that my appeal for ratings increase and IU was closed at the RO Dec 18 and a decision letter was sent on the 18th. On the 22nd I called the 1000 hotline and went to the RO in person, both said no letter was sent and my appeal was still in progress. The RO said that the appeal was sitting on a rating supervisors desk and should be done soon. They have received my new private Doctor IME report and all my service treatment records and don't need any new evidence. I had an informal hearing with the DRO in April and received an SOC in May.

My questions is why would Ebennie say that my appeal s closed with a letter sent but the RO says it is still be decided? Has anyone seen anything like this before? There is still no change in my AB8 letter or disabilities on my Ebennies profile. On my Vets.gov profile it says 7-10 business days for the decision letter to arrive, but again there never was a letter sent out. My file is sitting on a rating supervisors desk.

Has anyone else ever had an appeal move to the historical section and be closed out with a decision letter sent but not have the appeal possible option too? I just had a DRO appeal close but there's no appeal possible option.  Every time I have had a decision letter sent before on a claim it said appeal possible along with it. I'm hoping this might mean a full grant. I know it is still possible to appeal a full grant decision but it's strange that every claim before had it say 'decision letter sent, appeal possible'.

Is there scheduled maintenance on Ebenefits today? I tried to log in and it said it was been updated and would be ready for me to view soon. Is it just my ebenefits that is broke or is it the whole website?
